What is the story or inspiration behind why you started your podcast?
The inspiration for Konversations With GloPodcast/Radio Show is my childhood. I can remember as a kid I used to play the talk shows, e.g., Ricki Lake, Jenny Jones, Jerry Springer, Montell, and the list goes on. I’ve noticed that people draw close to me, and they are able to be vulnerable with me without any judgment. I love talking and getting other people’s perspectives on this thing we call life. My family and close ones inspire me to be myself and do what I want. I started podcasting because my end goal is to have my own TV and radio show. My biggest inspiration is believing in myself and knowing that I can succeed if I stick to it.
What do you enjoy most about podcasting, and what are some challenges?
What I enjoy the most about podcasting is meeting new people. Meeting new people, having a konversation with that person, and finding out that you and that person may have similar things in common is the best part. I love the support that I receive for being who God created me to be. Creating the konversation for each show that I do. It is so fun and interesting because you see people on social media one way and they are a totally different person when the camera is on, especially if you’re a real podcaster. The challenges that I find myself coming across are when my time is not respected or people treat Konversations With Glo Podcast as if it’s ratchet and makes no sense. I continue to build on the brand each day. Sometimes the support from the community can be pretty challenging due to people having their favorites and everyone jumping into the podcast game. Indie podcasters are very hardworking people. We are hoping for someone to see us the way we see ourselves.
