Making BOSS Moves with Tamera!

You may know her from Little Women: Atlanta! But Tamera McLaughlin has been making waves on her entrepreneurial journey! She is the CEO of a skincare brand called, Tymely Matters! Recently, I received the opportunity to interview her! Check it out below!

Where are you from?

I am from Southeast Washington, DC.

What inspired you to become an entrepreneur? Tell us about Tymely Matters.

There was someone I admired who owned multiple businesses. I’ve always admired the way they worked and moved, and they inspired me to start my own enterprise and make it meaningful.

I launched the organic and natural skincare brand Tymelymatters on September 2, 2022. We now sell sunscreen in addition to face and body cleansers, butters, facial serums, clay masks, and scrubs.

What challenges have you been met with while maneuvering entrepreneurship, and how did you overcome?

Entrepreneurship is unquestionably tough. I realized that working for oneself is not simple. Also, being your only source of income can be difficult at times, but you learn to work harder to complete the task.

In those moments when it gets hard, how do you manage to keep going?

I am able to keep going because of the reason for which I created my business. I wish to help those with skin issues in the most organic and natural manner possible.

When it comes to women, our women’s community, what would you like to see more of?

I would adore for us to collaborate more. We rarely see women in our community working together to uplift others. Often, women who have already achieved success would look down on those who are striving for growth.

Share any websites, social media handles, and how we can connect with you and your work!
